Verification Our Verification process is a distinct advantage in notifying you of correct names and associated addresses that have been marked Undeliverable as Addressed by the USPS. After we have completed the Level 1 Recovery process, we review all relevant records and provide an in-depth match back process through all databases. Believe it or not, there are actually a high percentage of returns that “are actually deliverable, with the correct name and address” and the Postal carrier/system decided not to deliver that day and thus marked the document Undeliverable as Addressed. Verification also advises you on those slow payers that have written "does not live here" on the billing envelope and dropped back in the mailbox to render Undeliverable as Addressed. We will report that data so you can apply internal resources prior to moving to Collections.
The Verification process is part of our Level II process and is currently yielding an additional 5-10% of all Returned Mail input records.
